Public transport is well developed in Egedal. There are four train stations and trains depart for Copenhagen and Hillerød every ten minutes during the daytime. The local road network is also well developed. Main route no. 211 runs through Egedal from east to west and arterial road no. 6 runs from south to north. Both are major four-track roads that connect Egedal to the motorway system.
