INCREASED R&D INVESTMENTS WITHIN DANISH COMPANIES IN 2011
Jan. 19, 2012 | Topic: EconomyAccording to The 2011 report on EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard, Danish companies increased their R&D investments significantly with 11 per cent, well above the EU’s average of 5.7 per cent.
Denmark has 45 companies placed on the top 1000 EU companies. 21 are life science companies and
Denmark is represented within sectors such as: Pharmaceuticals, Alternative Energy, Biotechnology, Industrial Machinery, Telecommunications equipment, Leisure goods, and Health care equipment and services.
Furthermore, Vestas Wind Systems Denmark is ranked no. 1 in the Alternative Energy sector.
The 2011 "EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard" collects information on the top 1000 EU companies and 1000 non-EU companies investing the largest sums in R&D in the last reporting year. The Scoreboard includes data on R&D investment along with other economic and financial data from the last four financial years.
